Art in the Park Show and Concert

216 Forest Ave., Paramus, NJ 07652

Bergen County's Art in the Park Show and Concert is a free annual event that gives more than 100 local artists a chance to showcase their work and compete in one of six judged categories. Some works are also available for sale. The day ends with a free concert from some of New Jersey's top musical groups. 2024's show is scheduled for October 19 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Van Saun County Park near our Paramus homes for sale.

Talking Tintypes: Examining the Portrayal of Native Americans at the Gallery Bergen

400 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652

Talking Tintypes is a groundbreaking new exhibit on display this fall at Bergen Community College's Gallery Bergen. Created by Diné artist Will Wilson, the collection of photographs shines a light on the impact of uranium mining on members of the Navajo Nation and how affected Indigenous communities have promoted healing through spiritualism. Wilson's tintype photo portraits feature QR codes that can be scanned to unlock dances and monologues recorded by the person featured in the image, harnessing the power of technology to create moving personal and cultural narratives. The exhibit lasts from September 26 to December 20 and is free to view.

Ramapo College of New Jersey Art Galleries

505 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430

The Ramapo College of New Jersey is home to several art galleries, each with its own unique focus. You'll find works by international artists in the Kresge and Pascal Galleries and a world-class Haitian art collection in the Selden Rodman Gallery. If you're more interested in works by local artists, check out the Learning Commons Gallery. This space displays an ever-changing selection of works by established artists from the area near our Mahwah homes for sale, as well as some by the college's most promising art students.

RAI Members' Landscape Show at Ridgewood Art Institute

12 E. Glen Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450

The Ridgewood Art Institute is a non-profit art school that offers classes to artists of all skill levels near our Ridgewood homes for sale. Fall Exhibits at the Belskie Museum of Art and Science

280 High St., Closter, NJ 07624

The Belskie Museum of Art and Science began as a tiny museum dedicated to housing the works of Abram Belskie, a celebrated sculptor and medical illustrator who lived most of his life in Bergen County. It has since expanded and now has several exhibits slated to debut in fall 2024. Highlights include a juried show curated by renowned New Jersey art connoisseurs Sheryl Urman and Fred Spinowitz and a collection of works by Fairleigh Dickinson University faculty members.
