Feed Your Love of Learning at the Ridgewood Public Library

From its convenient location at 125 North Maple Avenue near Ridgewood homes for sale, the Ridgewood Public Library is a hub of learning, education, and curiosity for the community. The collections of media that you'll find here are enormous, spanning everything from classic literature to the latest, most popular new releases. In addition to regular books, you can find eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, music, movies, TV shows, and more, all waiting for you.

To get started, you'll need to apply for a library card. Residents of Ridgewood can apply for a card for free at the circulation desk or online as long as they have proof of residency. Non-residents will be assessed a fee to get a library card but are welcome to apply as long as they live in a town without a BCCLS library. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.–9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1–5 p.m.

Borrow Items That Go Far Beyond Books and Explore Local History

In need of a WiFi hotspot, STEM kits, tools for repairing your home, or even videography equipment for creating your own content? The Ridgewood Public Library can also help you there, thanks to its Library of Things program, which allows you to borrow a wide range of useful items, for free, with a two-week lending period. It's a great extra perk of having a card and a benefit that not everyone knows about.

But the library isn't just for borrowing. It's also a place to learn about your family's history and trace your ancestry. You can find all that and more in the library's Genealogy and Local History area. If your family is from the area, you can discover a wealth of information here.

Educational Programs for Kids and Adults

Of course, the Ridgewood Public Library is also a place of learning, offering a busy schedule of educational programs for kids and adults. Adults will appreciate the career resources, tech training, and multicultural classes offered here. There are also fun classes on everything from cooking to arts and crafts. Children and teens will enjoy the immense selection of fun, educational, and creative classes geared toward specific age groups.
