Visiting a pumpkin patch is such a fun way to celebrate fall. You can meander through the fields with your family or friends, select your favorite pumpkin, and then take it home to carve. Ward's Pumpkin Patch:

Ward's Pumpkin Patch is a family-run venue where you can stroll around and choose your own pumpkin. Prices start at just $1 for the smallest pumpkins. They carry unique varieties such as Long Island Cheese, Rock Star, and Red Warty Things and offer painted pumpkins for sale.
In addition to pumpkins, Ward's also sells other fall favorites like ghost suckers, mums, and decorative gourds. You can even pick up some corn stalks to decorate your home for autumn. They're open daily from 10 am until sunset. Dogs are welcome as long as they're leashed.
Demarest Farms:

Demarest Farms is a family-owned farm founded in 1886. Each fall, the farm comes alive with a variety of activities. Pumpkin picking is a tried and true favorite. This year, the farm is asking visitors to make a reservation on their website before picking.
Admission to the pumpkin fields is $7 per person. This includes parking, access to the petting zoo, and fun on the playground and hayrides. Pumpkins are sold for an extra fee. Demarest Farms is only a few minutes away when looking at Saddle River homes for sale.
Goffle Brook Farm:

Goffle Brook Farms is a staple in the Ridgewood area and a great place to visit when looking at Ridgewood homes for sale. They opened in 1968 and are very involved in the local community.
Goffle Brook Farms does not have a pumpkin patch in the strictest sense, but they do have a great selection of pumpkins. This makes it a great place to visit with smaller children who may not want to walk through a large field. Their farm stand is also loaded with apples, cider, and other fall favorites, and there's even a petting zoo.
Abma's Farm:

Abma's Farm is offering pumpkin picking and hayrides on select dates throughout September and October. You can find a complete list of dates on their website. You have to purchase tickets in advance and include a hayride, a pumpkin of your choice, and admission to the barnyard.
While on the farm, you can also stop by their farm stand. This is a great place to buy tomatoes, corn, beets, apples, and other fall favorites. All produce sold here is grown using sustainable farming practices. Stop to see some Wyckoff homes for sale while in the area.
Secor Farms:

If you're looking at Mahwah homes for sale, stop by Secor Farms for some pumpkin picking. You take a hayride to the field, stop to pick a pumpkin, and then ride back to the main farm.
Secor Farms also sells gourds, cornstalks, and mums. Their farm market offers lots of tasty fall treats like candy apples and apple cider donuts.
