Thielke Arboretum of Glen Rock:

Thielke Arboretum of Glen Rock is a gorgeous 11-acre outdoor space featuring a wetland forest, nature trails, and lush gardens. In the spring, you have the opportunity to see many birds and butterflies. The land was originally the residence of a chiropractor, Frederick Morris, who planted it with bountiful plants and trees. Glen Rock purchased it in 1954, and it was dedicated as an arboretum in 1963.

Saddle River County Park:

Saddle River County Park is a 577-acre park stretching along the waterway of the same name. It features a multi-use, six-mile path that passes several ponds and brooks, wooded areas, and beautiful, open meadows.
Saddle River County Park also has a picnic area, playground, and tennis courts you can use after your walk. Make a day of it and pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in nature.
Ramapo Valley County Reservation:

The Ramapo Valley County Reservation is a gorgeous place to visit for a long springtime walk. There are five loop trails within the park, so you should have an easy time navigating. Each loop trail is marked with blazes of a different color. All of the trails start and end close to the parking lot.
One of the best trails at Ramapo Valley County Reservation is the Vista Loop Trail. Marked with yellow blazes, this trail offers amazing panoramic views. It passes a still, blue pond and waterfall and is popular with dog walkers. Note that dogs must be leashed at all times.
