The 2025 Bergen County St. Patrick's Day Parade will be led by Grand Marshall Michael Dressler, with a variety of school groups, community organizations, local businesses, and Irish culture groups participating as always. It all makes for an exciting moment for anyone participating in the parade, and a great spectacle for viewers along the parade route. You can learn all about the participants through the detailed digital Parade Journals, with both the 2025 Parade Journal and previous year's journals all available for viewing online. This year's Bergen County St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place on March 16, 2025, beginning at 2 p.m. The parade travels from Bergenfield Head to Washington Avenue, making it easy to set out for the parade a little early to grab a prime viewing location along the route.

St. Patrick's Day Essay Contest

Every year, the St. Patrick's Day Essay Contest is held in conjunction with the Bergen County St. Patrick's Day Parade, with the goal of supporting local students while promoting awareness of Irish culture and heritage. Two scholarships are awarded every year by the Council of Irish Associations of Greater Bergen County, one for the winner and one for second place, with the contest open to all graduating high school seniors in Bergen County. See this year's scholarships awarded, then plan to participate in the contest for St. Patrick's Day 2026 if you're child will be a graduating senior next year.
