About Jane Vandevander

Born and raised in Ridgewood, NJ, Janie is proud to be a fourth-generation resident of this vibrant community. Janie attended the Ridgewood public school system from K-12, which instilled in her a strong sense of local pride and connection. She then pursued her passion for knowledge at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, majoring in History with minors in Religion and Philosophy.

 

Before diving into the family business of real estate, Janie gained valuable experience in TV and Digital Ad Sales at the CW Network where she worked for 5 years. This role honed her communication, client relations and marketing skills, which she now applies to her work as a Real Estate Agent, Sales Manager, and Director of Social Media & Marketing for Tarvin Realtors. She take a hands-on approach, ensuring she is with her clients every step of the way—from preparing a home for sale with staging to handing over the keys & beyond. She particularly enjoy assisting clients moving out of New York City and Hoboken, drawing from her own experience of making that transition before buying her home in Ridgewood.

 

Real estate is truly in Janie's blood; her grandfather, Roy Tarvin, founded Tarvin Realtors in 1971, and she is proud to work alongside her aunts, uncles, cousin, sister, and mother in this family business. With a strong foundation in our local market and a commitment to helping clients find their dream homes, Janie's excited to contribute to her hometown and its vibrant community!
